Jets AT Titans, today, 1 (Ch. 2) --The New York Jets showed the nation last Thursday night that the acquisitions of Kris Jenkins, Alan Faneca and Brett Favre, among others, have made them legitimate playoff contenders. Their game today in Tennessee may determine if they can be more than that. The Titans enter 10-0, the NFL's only unbeaten team. The Jets, who lead the AFC East at 7-3, are the most formidable opponent the Titans will face until the final two games of the regular season, when they host Pittsburgh, then finish at Indianapolis.
Giants AT Cardinals, today, 4:15 (Ch. 5, 61) -- Arizona quarterback Kurt Warner will take a shot at lighting up his former team as the Cardinals can clinch the NFC West with a victory. The Giants, meanwhile, look a little banged up, but if they can establish the run, they'll give the Cardinals all they can handle if not more.
UCONN MEN VS. MIAMI, Paradise Jam, U.S. Virgin Islands, today, 6 (Fox College Sports) -- The second-ranked Huskies get their first real test of the season in No. 17 Miami. UConn is happy to have its quarterback A.J. Price back, and 7-footer Hasheem Thabeet is getting closer to living up to his potential, but check out Husky guard Kemba Walker, who scored 23 against La Salle. Is he really just a freshman? He seems to play with no fear.
