NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Peyton Manning threw two touchdown passes to Dallas Clark but LenDale White responded with a 1-yard touchdown run and the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans were tied at 14 through three quarters on Monday night.

The Colts gave Tennessee its largest deficit of the year when Manning hit Clark for a 19-yard score on the first drive of the second half to take a 14-6 lead. It marked the first time the Titans had trailed by more than seven points all year and was the second touchdown hookup for Manning and Clark on the night.

The lead didn't last long.

The Titans responded with a 14-play, 80-yard drive capped by White's ninth touchdown of the season with 3:21 remaining in the third quarter. The Titans tied it when Kerry Collins hit fullback Ahmad Hall for a 2-point conversion.

The drive was helped by two key Indianapolis penalties. The first one - illegal contact by Colts' defensive back Marlin Jackson on a third-down play - extended the drive. The second - a 15-yard pass interference call on Melvin Bullitt - put the Titans on the Colts' 17. White scored six plays later.

The Colts, hoping to make up ground on the NFL's last unbeaten team, did a decent job of slowing down Tennessee's high-powered rushing attack.

Tennessee rookie running back Chris Johnson, who entered the week as the AFC's leading rusher with 549 yards, had 16 carries for 57 yards through three quarters. White, coming off a career-high 149 yards in last week's win over Kansas City, was limited to minus-3 yards on two carries in the first half.

Manning managed to avoid Tennessee's vaunted pass rush to hit 14-of-23 passes for 123 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Tennessee's Kerry Collins was just as effective, going 18-of-27 for 138 yards.

The Titans, off to the first 6-0 start in team history, came in looking to widen their three-game lead over the Colts in the AFC South. The five-time defending division champions have struggled with injuries and inconsistent play.

The Colts are coming off a 34-10 loss to Green Bay, played without leading rusher Joseph Addai, who was placed on the inactive list before the game with a hamstring injury. Replacement Dominic Rhodes had 62 yards on 14 carries and also caught four passes for 19 yards.

Indianapolis was also missing safety Bob Sanders. The 2007 Defensive Player of the Year missed his fifth straight game while recovering from knee surgery.

The Titans were without Pro Bowl defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, whose consecutive games streak ended at 54. Vanden Bosch, third on the Titans with 3 sacks, injured his groin against the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 5 and played briefly in last week's win over Kansas City before leaving.

Vanden Bosch's replacement, David Ball, was shaken up on the opening kickoff and did not immediately return. Second-year end Jacob Ford started instead.

Indianapolis left tackle Tony Ugoh returned to the lineup after missing four games. Charlie Johnson, who played at left tackle in Ugoh's absence, moved back to left guard.
