Tennessee Titans Notes, Quotes 2008-12-23
--Rookie RB Chris Johnson had his own celebration in response to the Terrible Towels. As he scored on a 21-yard touchdown run, Johnson reached into his uniform and pulled out the white towel he carries, and began waving it into the air.

Titans coach Jeff Fisher said such an act, using the towel as a prop, could draw Johnson his second celebration fine of the season.

"It potentially could be a problem, but it was his towel. It's not like he took the towel out from the back of his pads and waved it, but the rule states that you can't use the ball as a prop or props," Fisher said. "If you're doing something different with it than you ordinarily do, then it could be perceived as a penalty."

Earlier this season, Johnson was fined for playing the bongo drums after a touchdown in Kansas City. Those drums were part of the Chiefs pep band stationed behind one of the end zones. He was fined $10,000 but had a prize waiting for him in the locker room in the days after.

"When he pounded the drums, he got a free drum set. So maybe he's trying to get something else. Maybe he's out of paper towels at his house. Who knows?" Fisher said.

--With Sunday's game meaningless in terms of playoff seeding, the Titans and Colts lineups might look more like the preseason at the end of the game.

Tennessee locked up the top seed in the AFC playoffs with their win over the Steelers, while the Colts clinched the No. 5 seed on Thursday night against Jacksonville and will face the AFC West winner in the wild-card round.

Fisher indicated Monday that the Titans are still evaluating exactly what course of action to use in Sunday's game, but he said his team would try to win the game.

"As far as our approach to playing different players, we're not there yet. We'll have to wait and see," Fisher said. "Everybody is going to play. If they're healthy, they'll play. I can't predict what coach (Tony) Dungy is going to do with his club. All we can do is go in there and play and try to win the ballgame."

--"I think it was like the second quarter they said I started looking like Rudolph, and I just went with it from there." -- Titans CB Cortland Finnegan, who appeared in postgame interviews with a red scrape on the end of his nose from an in-pile skirmish against the Steelers.
