--RBs LenDale White and Chris Johnson have dubbed themselves as "Smash 'n Dash" for their respective power and speed rushing styles. Now, the duo is using that moniker to raise some money for charity.
The running backs have had a local company print t-shirts that say "Smash 'n Dash" and feature caricatures of them on a Titans blue background. The shirts are for sale at Nashville area Kroger stores, and money raised will go to charity.
"Me and C.J. were talking about it for awhile, and we called somebody and got them involved and it took off," White said. "Now, they've got the shirts printed up. Hopefully, we can keep it going and sell a lot of them, so we can give back to the community and give some money to foster kids. Hopefully, we can make enough so we can take some of them out shopping for Christmas."
--QB Vince Young has played in only two games, the season opener when he hurt his knee and on Thanksgiving Day against the Lions in mop-up duty.
But Young was unable to practice on Wednesday because of a right thumb injury.
The injury was actually an infection, but is not expected to keep Young off the active list Sunday against Cleveland. It could, however, keep him from practicing for a couple of days.
"He had an infection in the corner of the cuticle after the ballgame, so we put him on some antibiotics, and he took the weekend off," Fisher said. "The antibiotics didn't do the trick and it spread a little bit. We're just treating the infection and we're expecting him to play. We'll back him down from throwing for the next few days."
BY THE NUMBERS: 13 -- Touchdowns LenDale White has scored this season. White needs one more rushing touchdown to tie Eddie George for second place on the franchise single-season list. He isn't likely to reach Earl Campbell's club record of 19 with four games left.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "My old bones would love another week off. If you consider after the Thursday game having a few days off, I would enjoy another week off, but keeping with the theme of the Jeff Fisher Titans we're not going to look to far ahead. We're going to focus on the Cleveland Browns and handle business." -- TE Alge Crumpler, on the possibility of a first-round bye, which the Titans can clinch Sunday with a win and a New York Jets loss.
