Tennessee Titans Notes, Quotes 2008-10-24
--Rookie RB Chris Johnson received plenty of attention of his celebration of a 66-yard touchdown run at Kansas City when he went behind the goalpost to play the bongo drums with the Chiefs pep band after scoring on the long burst.

On Wednesday, when the Titans gathered for a team meeting, someone, who shall remain nameless, had a present waiting for Johnson -- a set of bongo drums for his very own.

So what will he do with the drums?

"I'm going to find some place in my house to put them," Johnson said.

Johnson leads the AFC in rushing, and despite the fact that he will probably be fined this week for celebrating with a prop, said he isn't necessarily abandoning thoughts of other celebrations after touchdowns.

"I've got a lot of creative ideas. I've just got to pick the right time to do them," Johnson said.

So will he at least wait until another blowout before making another attempt that would most likely come with an accompanying 15-yard penalty?

"I don't really even think Jeff thinks it's OK even when it's like that. I've got some ideas, and I feel I'll pick the right time to do them," Johnson said. "This is not a one-time deal. I don't think it'll be a one-time deal."

--The Titans are doing their best to dress up the occasion for their first home game on Monday Night Football in nearly four years. The team will have a "Code Blue" evening, where fans will be encouraged to wear the Titans' light blue and t-shirts of that color will be passed out. Hank Williams Jr., who sings the opening to Monday Night Football each week, will also sing the national anthem at LP Field.

Also, the Titans plan to add former stars Steve McNair, Eddie George and Frank Wycheck to the team's Ring of Honor in a halftime ceremony.

BY THE NUMBERS: 100 -- Titans percentage of scoring points in 18 trips into the red zone this year. Tennessee has scored 13 touchdowns and five field goals from inside the opponents' 20-yard line.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "This team doesn't get put on a national stage a lot, so any time you get that opportunity, you've got to make the most of it." -- LB Keith Bulluck, on the Titans only Monday Night Football appearance of the season. Bulluck described himself last year as "Mr. Monday Night" before getting three interceptions against the Saints in prime time.
