Steelers sign former Titan cornerback to practice squad

The Steelers have signed cornerback Tuff Harris to their practice squad.

The 6-foot, 198-pounder played in six games for the Tennessee Titans last season and recorded eight tackles. The Steelers open the regular season Thursday against the Titans at Heinz Field.

The signing of Harris gives the Steelers the maximum number (eight) of players teams are allowed to have on their practice squad.

The Steelers had hoped to get Sonny Harris on their practice squad but the Carolina Panthers signed the rookie defensive end to their 53-man roster.
